Our target for compliance is the WCAG 2.1 Standards, which is recognized as the standard for web accessibility. We recognize that accessibility is a continuous process and actively work to assess and improve the accessibility of this website.
The Worcester SCD is identified as a special district government in regards to the ADA web compliance standards. A special district government is a public entity – other than a county, municipality, township, or independent school district – allowed by state law to provide to one function or a limited number of designated functions with enough independence to be a separate government. While the compliance deadline for special district governments is April 26, 2027, the Worcester SCD met compliance in April 2026 (reports available in SCD office).
